In July 2023, a greenhouse was constructed to facilitate the teaching of seed raising techniques and extend growing seasons for fruit such as tomatoes and give protection for crops and seedlings during extremes of weather, i.e. either dry season or hailstorms. This hot house is watered from a bore installed for the school and the community in 2023.
The next stage for 2024-25 is to construct a School/Community Kitchen Facility. It will give Mercy Ministries opportunity for community training in food nutrition, using a greater variety of fruits and vegetables that previous projects have introduced to the community. A 'Paddock to Plate' project is envisioned.
