MERCY PRIMARY SCHOOL - KENYA

MERCY PRIMARY SCHOOL - KENYA (Mercy Mainflower Academy)

The school was founded in 2008 by Consolate Muga during a period of civil unrest. For three months the children could not leave the property. It was then that Consolate decided to begin a school in an old tin shed on the property. Founder and Director of Mercy Children’s Home, Consolate Muga emphasizes the need for a continuum of education for a child to be able to survive and thrive in Kenya.

As needs increased more corrugated iron classrooms were added with the help of funds provided by AAI Australia. Mercy Mainflower Academy has a population of 340 learners and 16 teachers, catering from Nursery level to grade 8.
