April/June 2012

An AAI Director, Helen Crothers of Endeavour Hills, is travelling with her husband Gary and stepson David.  First stop was to Kampala in Uganda and over the last week they have visited many people and projects. They are having a great time catching up with friends in Magere and up North. They helped to conduct a Mobile Medical Clinic for many people at Kitwala Village. This is the second clinic in this village as it is central to many other villages and people with health needs come from many areas round about Kitwala. It is important to do follow-up where clinics have been held and to this end we will conduct another one in July this year when another AAI Director Jim Hewett will be there with his wife Julie accompanied by a church team from NSW. These clinics are a life line and crucial in any attempt to assist people in remote areas who would normally have no medical or medicines during times of illness & disease.

The Crothers will continue their journey to Mercy Children’s Home in South Nyanza, Kenya this week to visit the 50 children living there and the 400 children and the teaching team at Mercy School, not forgetting the Mercy Widow Group.

AAI Founder/Directors John & Jean Leak are planning to take a team in 2013, possible around May/June.
